This project utilized Los Angeles' Small Lot Subdivision Ordinance to transform two adjacent residential parcels into a cohesive, higher-density urban infill development. The original lots—one containing a single-family home and the other a duplex—were consolidated and re-subdivided to create nine individual residential units. The new homes are arranged around a central shared courtyard, fostering a sense of community while maximizing usable outdoor space. This layout provides both privacy and connectivity, blending the scale of single-family living with the benefits of urban density.
